Food Fight is a card game of frenzy and fun. Food Fight is played over the course of 3 meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The object of the game is to try to get all the food off you while throwing as much as possible at the other players. If you don’t have enough food to throw you must gather some. Now lets all go get messy! The game consists of two stacks of cards that you can draft from. Each stack will have the top two cards visible - 1 to the side of the other, and the top card face up. With these 4 cards, the player can either draft the lowest valued card, switch out one card in their hand for another of any value of the visible cards, or throw food. To throw food, the player must find exactly the total value of all the visible cards in the draft area, in their hand, and then throw them tio their opponents. These cards go in front of the player as food that was thrown on them. These cards can be removed by throwing that same type of food. These cards are placed into a score pile at the end of each of the rounds, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. At the end of the 3 rounds, all cards are counted that are in the player's score pile, thrown area and hand. Lowest amount of cards (not values), wins. In 4 player games, you play on a team, across from your partner.A few things to note. I have added a variant to improve the gameplay, but might not be good for the younger age group that it is designed for initially i.e. more addition. Each round ends when the stack of cards is down to 1 or less cards in all of the stacks. Stacks consist of 8 cards each. As cards are taken from the spaces without any card underneath it, these spaces are not replaced until someone throws food. Cards that have a card under them are replaced when taken. Cards are gained by drafting the one card, or when you throw food, any card without a card under it, are taken to the player's hand who threw food. Have fun!
As the designer of this game (along with my wife), I wish more players could get ahold of this game so it can get played by more people. It is a short, fun card game that has some levity included with the pictures and game play. Not to be confused by the 2011 release of the same name by a different company.
