I hear ya! It was torture to wait until Battlelore was painted (250+ mini's). Of course, it was completely worth it though- it looks super cool all set up, and we "grassed" the bases...so, it's even more awesome. There are other games that sit on our shelf, unplayed, because they're not painted. Mansions of Madness is in the process of being painted along with Hell Dorado. Invasion from Outer Space and Battles of Westeros are sitting in the painting queue. Sometimes I think I should quit my job just so I can keep up with the painting....just kidding!

My best gaming buddy paints all of his game pieces too and I have the exact same problem. I reach for one of my games and somehow it seems unplayable because I haven't gotten around to painting them. He has single handedly reduced 1/2 my game collection to worthlessness.

Hello! I got into gaming when I met my husband several years ago. Since then I've been to several con's and have really enjoyed them. I'm also currently a student, and work in a Science Museum. Besides gaming, I enjoy reading- my favorite author is P.G. Wodehouse (it's fair to say I'm obsessed with his books), paleontology, traveling, and painting our game miniatures.

As far as gaming goes, I enjoy CCG's, Euro Games, War Games, pretty much everything. My favorite types of games have a story line- think Arkham Horror, Tales of Arabian Nights, etc. I paint all of our games that have miniatures, and have a hard time playing our own games if the mini's aren't painted. (It's just not the same!)
