As much I would love to go to Essen, I would never do it just to go to the Spiel Faire. It would have to be part of a larger Europe trip. I've been going to GC for almost 30 years now. If I have the money to go, I go. I've missed 3 in 29 years. I would also love to go to BGG.con, but it's during my busy season at work and it falls on the same week as the gf's birthday. A double whammy. Pre-reg for GC starts on the 23rd. Let me know if you're going and we can 'friend' each other in the reg system.

I'm definitely going to GenCon. That is my "can't miss" one. And possibly Dragon Con. But that won't be for gaming. So far I've turned Janine into a scifi geek, a fantasy geek, a comic geek and a tech geek. :) I'm still working on anime geek. I just have to stay away from any that are too wierd or have 13 year old girls in school uniforms screeching at the top of their lungs. But for some reason she is extremely resistant to being a gamer geek. I don't get it. Other than that, maybe a couple of local cons, that's it. You gonna be at GenCon?

What's up mang? Thought I'd check this place out. It's still in it's infancy, but it might have some potential. Especially if they have a legitimate news section. BGN being folded into BGG kinda rubbed me the wrong way.
