You can search Board Game Info for reviews and product ratings using your smartphone to scan a bar code (UPC) in a store!
To look up games from bar codes on your smart phone, follow these instructions:
iPhone
- - Download the FREE ZBar Barcode Reader
- - Scan a barcode using the App
- - Click EDIT in the upper right and then scroll to the bottom of the LINKS list and click ADD NEW LINK
- - Enter a name and use one of the ACTION URL
ACTION URLs
- http://www.boardgameinfo.com/scan.php?upc= - Will display a product, ratings, and reviews from our database
- http://www.boardgameinfo.com/rate.php?user=User+Name&pass=XXX&upc= - Will log you in so you can rate the scanned product
- http://www.boardgameinfo.com/own.php?user=User+Name&pass=XXX&upc= - Will add this game to your collection and allow you rate it. User+Name must be replaced with you forum username (placing + where a space would normally be). XXX must be replaced with your personal pass code in user settings

Some application uses (such as adding games to your collection) will require you to use a special password you choose in your
PROFILE -> SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE section. Replace the XXX's above with the password you set here.
