Default Design your own Meeple Contest!

Reposted from an email I got from http://www.SpielMaterial.de :

    Competition

We started another competition. This time it is not about developing a new game, no this time it is something much more practical :
Design your own meeple or game piece

A competition for creative gamers. Your task: Design a playing figure usable for boardgames. Be it man-like, an animal, a building, plant or transport medium - send us your proposals !

A jury will vote from the proposals receiving us. We will produce the proposal of the winner and sell this item in our shop. The winner receives 1 Cent per sold item, another 1 Cent will go to a charity organization the winner can choose.

What do you have to do ?

    * Draw a game piece, which can be made of wood (i.e. no too small details)
    * The shape of the piece is up to you - animal, person, buidling, transportation - it is your choice...
    * Possible are rounded items (as a regular pawn) or flat pieces (as a Carcassonne figure)
    * Send your proposal to harald.muecke@spielmaterial.de (as JPG or PDF)

is this contest still going? I got an email for it before the new year, and the rules say "until the new year"... did that mean the prior new year, or the upcoming one?

Well since I posted it when I got it and I got it mid January I think it's still going on. But visit their site or email them.
