Post Looking for Input on Kamakura Card Game

Here is the explanation off our website: "Kamakura is a game of feudal Japanese warfare in which you attempt to defeat an opponent by taking their territories before they take yours; this is done by carefully choosing combinations of weapons, soldiers, and arrow barrages to attack with, while defending your own territories with a myriad of defensive techniques. Strategy, deception, and bravery will be your most valuable assets in the complex and varied game of Kamakura."

We custom made a website with a full 10 minute motion graphic video that explains how to play and full card reads. All this is at www.dyadgames.com/kamakura.

Our kickstarter is up over at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dyadgames/kamakura.

Basically I want to know your guys' opinions. We've spent several months testing the game to designing the cards (we have a team of 3) and tried to make the game accessible, easy to understand and aesthetically pleasing. Do you think the game is to simplistic? We'd love to hear some feedback. If you have any questions about pre-ordering or what not send us email (contact@dyadgames.com) . If you can help us get off the ground at all we would be more than grateful!

    Hey Guys,
I watched the video from kick starter. I think the game looks really neat. I like the idea of certain types of soldiers being equipped with specific weapons- reflects their level of training I suppose? Do the territories you're defending provide you with any resources in which to recruit more soldiers, or build more weapons? Is this strictly a 2 player game, or can you tailor it to accommodate more players? Overall the game sounds pretty cut throat, which I like! I also like the idea of posters and stuff. There are so many games that we have, where the art on the cards is super cool and we'd jump at the chance to get a poster sized version of it. Also, FYI- the link to the 10 minute graphic video just takes you to the front page of BGI.

Thanks for checking it out Kristi!

The territories don't provide you with any sort of advantages/resources. You can have 2-4 players.

The link should work now, watch the video and I'm sure you'll get a lot of questions answered! :)
